Bookmark Memory Privacy Policy — ziyouma

Overview

This policy applies to the Bookmark Memory browser extension.

Bookmark Memory helps users re-find saved posts, links, and repositories that they previously saved by syncing chosen content into a local searchable library, with optional AI-assisted search.

The developer does not operate a user account system for this extension, and does not include analytics, telemetry, or third-party tracking SDKs. Data stays in the user’s browser or is sent only to services the user connects for requested features.

Data We Process

Bookmark Memory may process:

  • Saved content the user chooses to sync or import, such as X bookmarks, Reddit saved items, and GitHub stars.
  • Metadata for those items (titles, URLs, authors, timestamps, tags, excerpts).
  • User-provided configuration such as AI provider settings, Reddit username, GitHub token, and license key.
  • License verification metadata (status, activation, timestamps).
  • Prompts and bookmark context when the user uses AI search, summarization, or analysis.

How Data Is Stored

Data is stored locally in the browser (extension storage and a local database), including synced items, AI configuration, tokens the user provides, license state, and local indexing data such as embeddings.

How Data Is Transmitted

Data is sent to third parties only for user-requested features:

  • AI providers the user configures, for prompts and relevant bookmark context.
  • Reddit, when Reddit sync is enabled.
  • GitHub, when a token is provided and GitHub sync is enabled.

Data Sharing

We do not sell user data. We share data with third parties only as needed to provide requested features (AI providers, Reddit, GitHub, Creem / license verification).

Data Retention and User Control

Users can clear synced data, remove AI settings, tokens, and license keys, or disable sync. Local data remains until cleared or the extension is uninstalled.

Children’s Privacy

Bookmark Memory is not directed to children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy and will revise the “updated” date above when we do.
