Claude Sidebar Guardian Privacy Policy — ziyouma
Overview
This policy applies to the Claude Sidebar Guardian browser extension.
It blocks or reduces disruptive Claude.ai sidebar behavior so unexpected UI does not steal clicks.
The developer does not operate a user account system for this extension, and does not include analytics, telemetry, or third-party tracking SDKs. Extension data stays in the user’s browser except when sent to services required for a feature the user triggers (including license verification).
Data We Process
Claude Sidebar Guardian may process:
- Preferences for sidebar blocking behavior on claude.ai.
- License/trial state.
How Data Is Stored
Preferences, license key, and feature state are stored locally via Chrome extension storage APIs. The developer cannot read this storage.
How Data Is Transmitted
The content script runs on claude.ai to adjust page UI. No conversation content is sent to the developer. License verification uses Gumroad when activated.
If the user purchases or activates a license, the extension may send the license key to Gumroad’s license verification API (https://api.gumroad.com/v2/licenses/verify). Purchases are completed on Gumroad at https://ziyoumaa.gumroad.com/l/iaarzx.
Data Sharing
We do not sell user data. Third parties receive data only as needed to provide requested features or verify a license (Gumroad).
Data Retention and User Control
Users can clear extension storage, remove the license key, or uninstall the extension. Local data is removed when the extension is uninstalled or storage is cleared.
Children’s Privacy
Claude Sidebar Guardian is not directed to children under 13.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy and will revise the “updated” date above when we do.
