DeepWiki Sidebar Privacy Policy — ziyouma

Last updated: August 5, 2026 中文版本

Overview

This policy applies to the DeepWiki Sidebar browser extension.

DeepWiki Sidebar opens DeepWiki documentation for a GitHub repository in Chrome’s side panel.

The developer does not operate a user account system, does not sell licenses for this extension, and does not include analytics, telemetry, or third-party tracking SDKs.

Data We Process

DeepWiki Sidebar may process:

  • The GitHub repository URL or path from the page the user is viewing, enough to open the matching DeepWiki documentation.
  • Minimal UI state needed to open the side panel.

It does not collect browsing history broadly and does not upload repository contents to developer servers.

How Data Is Stored

Any preferences are stored locally in the browser via Chrome extension storage, if used. The developer cannot read this storage.

How Data Is Transmitted

When the user opens the sidebar, the extension may load DeepWiki (https://deepwiki.com/) for the repository related to the current GitHub page. Requests go from the user’s browser to DeepWiki / GitHub as part of normal web navigation in the side panel.

Data Sharing

We do not sell user data. No license verification service is used.

Data Retention and User Control

Users can uninstall the extension to remove it. There is no developer-hosted user database.

Children’s Privacy

DeepWiki Sidebar is not directed to children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy and will revise the “updated” date above when we do.

Contact

For privacy questions, use the contact method on the extension’s Chrome Web Store listing.
