NotebookLM Web Importer Privacy Policy

Overview

This policy applies to the NotebookLM Web Importer browser extension.

It imports webpages, selected links, open tabs, and YouTube playlists into Google NotebookLM.

The developer does not operate a user account system for this extension, and does not include analytics, telemetry, or third-party tracking SDKs. Data stays in the user’s browser except when sent to services required for a user-triggered feature (including license verification).

Data We Process

NotebookLM Web Importer may process:

URLs and page content the user chooses to import.
Tab/link/playlist selections initiated by the user.
Preferences and license/trial state.

How Data Is Stored

Configuration, tokens the user provides, and license state are stored locally via Chrome extension storage APIs. The developer cannot read this storage.

How Data Is Transmitted

Import flows interact with NotebookLM and source sites (including YouTube when relevant) in the user’s browser. Content is not uploaded to developer-operated storage.

License verification requests go to https://creem-verify-notebook-lm.okeoke1011.workers.dev. Purchases open https://www.creem.io/payment/prod_16FITFzlcqmiAtkV5iAWH7 on Creem.

We do not sell user data. Third parties receive data only as needed for requested features or license verification (Creem / the verification worker).

Data Retention and User Control

Users can clear storage, remove tokens and license keys, or uninstall the extension.

Children’s Privacy

NotebookLM Web Importer is not directed to children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy and will revise the “updated” date above when we do.
