Overview

This policy applies to the Save Email to Notion Google Workspace add-on for Gmail (Apps Script). It does not apply to the separate Chrome extension named “Save Gmail to Notion.”

The add-on saves the email you are reading into a Notion database you choose. The developer does not operate a user account system for this add-on, and does not include analytics, telemetry, or third-party tracking SDKs.

Data We Process

Save Email to Notion may process:

  • Email content and metadata from messages you choose to save (subject, body, addresses, labels, attachments as needed).
  • Notion database targets and property mappings you configure.
  • Notion OAuth tokens obtained when you connect your Notion account.
  • Preferences, monthly save quota counters, and Gumroad license state.
  • Your Google Account email address as exposed to the add-on runtime.

How Data Is Stored

Configuration, OAuth tokens, quota counters, and license state are stored in Google Apps Script User Properties for your Google account. The developer cannot read this per-user storage.

How Data Is Transmitted

When you save, the add-on reads the current Gmail message in your session and calls the Notion API with your Notion credentials. License verification sends the license key to Gumroad’s license API.

The developer does not host your email bodies or Notion page content on a separate application server.

Data Protection and Security

We protect Google user data with technical and organizational measures appropriate to this Apps Script add-on architecture:

  • Encryption in transit: All network calls use HTTPS/TLS, including requests to the Notion API and Gumroad license API.
  • Encryption and isolation at rest: Notion OAuth tokens, preferences, quota counters, and license state are stored only in Google Apps Script User Properties for the signed-in Google account. This storage is isolated per user. The developer cannot read other users’ User Properties.
  • No separate application database for email content: We do not host email bodies, attachments, or Notion page content on a developer-operated server. Message content is read in the user’s Gmail session and sent directly to Notion when the user saves.
  • Least privilege and allowlisting: Outbound HTTP is limited by the Apps Script urlFetchWhitelist to Notion and Gumroad endpoints required for product features.
  • Access control: Google account authentication is required. Notion access uses the user’s own Notion OAuth token. Security procedures are in place to protect the confidentiality of your data. We use encryption to protect your information in transit and rely on Google’s Apps Script platform controls for data at rest.
  • Limited use: Google user data is used only to provide or improve user-facing features of Save Email to Notion. We do not sell Google user data, use it for advertising, or use it to train generalized AI/ML models.

Data Sharing

We do not sell user data. Third parties receive data only as needed for features you trigger (Notion) or license verification (Gumroad).

Data Retention and User Control

You can clear the license in the Plans card, disconnect Notion, or uninstall / revoke the add-on. Local User Properties remain until cleared or the add-on is removed from your account.

Children’s Privacy

Save Email to Notion is not directed to children under 13.

We may update this policy and will revise the “updated” date above when we do.
